Mr. Fred C. Gray was born in Waynesboro, MS, the eldest of nine children. His family moved to Sandusky, OH, in 1950 in hopes of a better life; however, the family returned to Waynesboro in 1959. 

He received his secondary education from Riverview High School, where he graduated in 1967. After graduating, He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and continued his pursuit of post-secondary education at Milwaukee Area Technical College. With his focus on Drafting and Robotics, he completed a 2-year Certification Program, rewarding him with a career in his field of study at Banner Welding, Inc. His tenure there, of 40 years, allowed him to travel extensively to countries such as Spain, Germany, England, and Brazil where he excelled in his career in automotive, home appliance, and agriculture. 

Mr. Gray is the proud father of 4 children (Sean, Kesha, Tanika, Christopher, and Mario) and a host of grandchildren. 

He is a member of True Square Lodge No. 11 (1986), Ionic Consistory No. 70 (1987), Holy Royal Arch Mason (1986), Zembo Temple No. 70 (1988), and Knights Templer (1989).
