Mr. Darnell Hamilton

Mr. Hamilton Graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a minor in Advertising. For six years, he worked in the nonprofit sector of Chicago, hoping to realign his passions with a purpose in life: serving my community.
Years later, he earned a Master’s of Education from Cardinal Stritch University, focusing on Urban Special Education. He served the Milwaukee Public School District for ten years as a high school special education teacher and a District Coach for New Teachers. He was featured in the WhyTheyTeach.org citywide campaign, spotlighting some of Milwaukee’s influential classroom practitioners. He also was a featured video interviewee and writer for PBS Wisconsin Education’s AKA Teacher online platform.
Today, he serves as the Executive Director of Future Urban Leaders. This organization serves grades K4 through 12th and focuses on providing Milwaukee youth with the space to discover their unique potential by engaging their self-interests while introducing them to numerous opportunities centered around leadership development, self-identity exploration, mindfulness education, social and community advocacy, and holistic support for post-secondary aspirations.
